The mission of the Marine Corps Embassy Security Guard (MCESG) Unit Information Officer (UIO) is to advise the MCESG commander and staff on communication strategy matters; develop and integrate communication plans; communicate with key audiences; and produce written and visual information products in order to build understanding, credibility, and trust with key publics and audiences critical to mission success.

All Marines serving on the program are encouraged to submit content to msgdutysocialmedia@state.gov for review. Submissions should include pictures or videos along with the preferred title and a short caption that describes the content. Our aim is to accurately capture the mission of the MSG program through our social media accounts so submitting content often is strongly encouraged. Content will be reviewed by the social media team for posting consideration.
