First Sergeant Jesus Villalba

First Sergeant Villalba was born on 13 January 1988 in El Paso, Texas and enlisted in the Marine Corps in August 2006 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. He attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Pendleton, California, Basic Electronics School at Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Florida, and MOS 6483 Deceptive Electronics Countermeasures School at MCAS Cherry Point, Havelock, North Carolina.

In November 2007, Lance Corporal Villalba reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 39, Camp Pendleton, California, where he deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and was promoted to Corporal in December 2008. In May 2010, he deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In September 2010, Corporal Villalba reenlisted and reported to MALS 26 MCAS New River, North Carolina. He reported to MALS 26 in March 2011, where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 2012.

In July 2014, Sergeant Villalba reported to Drill Instructor school class 4-14, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. He served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor with Company G, and Chief Drill Instructor for Company F. In December 2015, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

In September 2017, he executed orders to MALS-39, Camp Pendleton, California. He served as the Work Center Supervisor and Avionics Department Administrations Chief. In December of 2018, he was transferred to MCAS Miramar, California where he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and continued his tour with MALS-11 as the Squadron Gunnery Sergeant. In February 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Villalba reported to MALS-24, MCB Hawaii. He served as the Avionics Department Production Control Chief and the Squadron Gunnery Sergeant. He was selected to the rank of First Sergeant and was frocked in December 2022.

In January 2023, First Sergeant Villalba reported to Company C, 3d LCT, MCB Hawaii. As the Company First Sergeant, he supported the revamped ITX known as Marine Littoral Training Exercise and deployed in support of Balikatan 2023.

In April 2024, First Sergeant Villalba reported to Marine Corps Embassy Security Group Region III in Bangkok, Thailand and is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader for Region III.

First Sergeant Villalba holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Systems Technologies from SIU, Cum Laude. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars in lieu of fourth award.
